Condo Renovation

This client had a specific purpose in mind for his new space, a personal clubhouse. He wanted this home to be modern and comfortable, accommodating several people for everything from board meetings to family meals and gatherings. The two-bedroom penthouse had not been renovated since the building was new with the exception of new kitchen cabinets and marble countertops.

After doing the demo work on three baths, the rebuild started. Custom cabinetry for the two full baths (and a purchased cabinet for the powder room) along with additional new cabinets for the kitchen were commissioned. New marble floors, quartz countertops, and contemporary wall tiles were also selected for the baths’ redesign. In the kitchen, we had existing cabinets faux-painted to resemble zinc, and new ones painted out in a contrasting color in the same grey palette that was chosen for the main living areas. I was able to create a new bar area complete with wine fridge, ice maker, and storage in a previously blank knee wall separating kitchen from foyer and hall. I designed the new island with wheels so it can be moved to the other living spaces if need be for parties. The furniture selections made were all in keeping with the modern comfort but also displaying a bit of elegance especially evident in the master bedroom.

Elements such as wallpapers, sumptuous bedding and master shower with several body sprays and heads add to the overall look and feel of a 5 star hotel. The homeowner has a great collection of art, some that I worked into the rooms, along with a few purchased pieces completing the design. This condo with its top floor views is now a fun and functional retreat for the owner and his family and friends.
